Moroccan Rugs Melbourne, Australia

Nouvelle Nomad brings genuine vintage Moroccan rugs to Melbourne and Australia-wide. One-off pieces sourced across Morocco, mostly aged between 30-80 years old, shipped door-to-door from our Marrakech studio.

Every rug is handwoven, made in natural wools with plant and vegetable dyes, hand washed and restored by our artisan partners before it leaves Marrakech. Each piece is an authentic vintage find, and once it's sold, it's gone.

We've been part of Melbourne's design community since 2016, from a series of pop-up events and our partnership with Mark Tuckey furniture showrooms to our own Fitzroy warehouse studio. 2020 - 2023

Nouvelle Nomad Showroom - Fitzroy, Melbourne

Perhaps you visited our beautiful showroom space on Gore street or our warehouse studio in Victoria street, just a few steps off Fitzroy's famous Brunswick Street.

A beautiful expansive retail space full of Tamegroute ceramics, cactus plants, Beldi glassware, our handmade leather travel goods and of course piles and piles of beautiful vintage Moroccan rugs.

We loved having you all through the doors over those pandemic years, to connect and dream of next adventures.

But the world was calling, so we closed the doors at the end of 2023 and set off to back Morocco and then on to London...
