Hello! I'm Bridget,
Nouvelle Nomad is a homewares, travel & lifestyle brand and online retailer of authentic vintage Moroccan rugs & artisan made wares direct from the makers.
Since 2016 I've been partnering with local family businesses, artisan makers and specialist carpet traders here in Morocco to lovingly curate our collection of vintage and newly handwoven Berber carpets, ceramics, homewares & travel goods.

About our vintage rugs
Our rugs are all unique one-offs and authentic vintage finds originating from the various Berber tribes and traditional handcraft regions of Morocco.
Mostly aged between 30 to 80 years old each rug is a unique handwoven artwork full of history and character, perfectly aged in all the right places.
The ultimate in sustainable homewares, we love giving new life to the beautiful treasures that already exist rather than producing more.
Authentic Vintage Pieces
Handwoven on traditional looms in 100% wool with natural plant and vegetable dyes.
Each vintage rug is lovingly hand washed and hand restored by our artisan partners here in Marrakech before being shipped to their new homes around the world.

As a member of 1% for the Planet, 1% of every purchase is pledged towards environmental causes and non-profits.
A transparent way of giving back.
While supporting other local charities and non-profits along the way.

We work directly with traditional artisan makers to source and produce our newly handwoven rugs, ceramics, homewares and travel collections.
Including our pottery, leather travel goods and premium newly handwoven rug collections.

Hello! I'm Bridget
Based somewhere in the world between Melbourne, Marrakech and more recently a move to London UK.
I founded Nouvelle Nomad back in 2016 to share the joys of travel and adventure, collecting these beautiful treasures along the way.
What started as a few solo trips to Morocco, eventually led me to setting up a home base in Marrakech, and travelling extensively through this diverse and welcoming country.
Over the last 10 years Nouvelle Nomad has been more than just a business to me.
The connections formed with long time suppliers and friends, Marrakech's creative community, and the vibrancy of the city that has been my second home keeps me forever inspired.
I hope that you'll find something in the collection that sparks joy in you, or reminds you of your own travels.
