About Our Moroccan Rugs
Buying a Moroccan Rug Online in Australia
Every rug in our collection is a one-off, hand picked in Marrakech and shipped door to door by DHL Express, usually arriving in Australia within 5 to 10 working days. Each listing shows exact measurements, photos taken in natural light, and notes on condition, so you know exactly what's arriving before you buy. Prices are in AUD, and most pieces sit between $890 and $3,490 depending on size, age and rarity.
The Main Styles of Moroccan Rug
Moroccan rugs are woven by Amazigh (Berber) families across the Atlas Mountains and the plains around them, and each region has its own look. Beni Ourain rugs are the creamy, undyed wool pieces with charcoal lines from the Middle Atlas. Boujad rugs bring the faded pinks, reds and purples, while Azilal, Taznakht, Haouz and Talsint rugs each carry their own colours and patterns. Use the style filter above to narrow it down, or read our guide to the different Moroccan rug styles.
Choosing the Right Size
Start with the room, not the rug. A runner suits a hallway or the side of a bed, a medium rug works under a coffee table or in a bedroom, and a large Moroccan rug can anchor a living or dining room. Because every piece was handwoven, sizes vary rug to rug, so check the dimensions on each listing and see our Moroccan rug size guide for room by room advice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are your Moroccan rugs authentic?
Yes. Every rug is handwoven in Morocco, sourced through the family businesses, carpet traders and restorers we've worked with in Marrakech since 2016. Most are vintage, aged 30 to 80 years.
How long does delivery to Australia take?
Rugs ship from Marrakech by DHL Express, door to door, and usually arrive within 5 to 10 working days. Tracking comes through as soon as your rug is on its way. More on our Shipping & Returns page.
Are prices in Australian dollars?
Yes, all prices are in AUD, or select your country for prices in local currency.
What's the difference between a Moroccan rug and a Berber rug?
Most Moroccan rugs are Berber rugs, woven by the Amazigh people who have lived across Morocco for thousands of years. "Berber" describes who wove the rug, and the style name (Beni Ourain, Boujad, Azilal) tells you the region and tribe.
Can I see a rug in person?
We trade online, shipping direct from our Marrakech collection, and hold pop-ups in Melbourne from time to time. Join the mailing list to hear about the next one, or ask for extra photos or a video of any rug before you buy.
I'm sourcing for a client or a project. Can you help?
Yes. Our Trade & Sourcing page explains how we work with interior designers, stylists and hospitality projects, including sourcing to a brief.
