A beautiful 1970s aged vintage rug from the Zemmour region of Morocco.
An earthy terracotta and rust toned based. Natural white, caramel and charcoal grey through the criss crossing lines and handwoven floral motifs. The intricate design and tightly hand knotted style of weaving visible from the under side.
Irregular shape at one end and the raw wool tassels give this piece a perfectly imperfect finish that only adds to it's character.
Handwoven from 100% wool with a dense low pile. This is a thick and heavy weighted piece that will be stunning as for a bedroom, creative studio or lounge.

Handwoven in the Zemmour region near Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Vintage Zemmour carpets in great original condition are not so common to find. They are usually high quality carpets with a dense tightly knotted style of weaving with intricate geometric designs full of symbology.
