A beautiful medium sized vintage rug from the Zemmour region of Morocco.

The soft red base colour with charcoal, black and natural white throughout the diamond line work. The intricate design and tightly hand knotted style of weaving visible from the under side.

Handwoven from 100% wool with a dense low pile, some small areas of mixed cottons woven through. Lovely medium size perfect for dining areas, bedrooms, lounge areas and creative studios.

Zemmour Rugs

Handwoven in the Zemmour region near Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Vintage Zemmour carpets in great original condition are not so common to find. They are usually high quality carpets with a dense tightly knotted style of weaving with intricate geometric designs full of symbology.

These naturally dyed rugs have subtle and earthy colour pallets with tonal shades of red, rust, terracotta and brown. A beautiful choice for large lounge rooms, dining spaces and busy living areas that require a sturdy rug with a thick but low-pile for practicality.
