Mostly aged between 30-80 years old, our range of authentic vintage Moroccan rugs and Berber carpets are sustainably handwoven in 100% wool in extra large sizes ranging from 3 meters and up to 4+ meters in length.

Due to the old style traditional looms that were used to make these pieces many years ago we rarely find vintage rugs in widths wider that 2m.

Extra Large Rugs By Region of Origin

Our selection of extra large sized carpets features both vintage and contemporary styles from various Berber tribes and traditional handcraft regions of Morocco. Each with their own particular weaving style and designs unique to the area.

Beni Ourain rugs - Thick natural un-dyed 100% wool rugs from the mountainous Beni Ourain region with simple abstract and geometric designs in natural charcoal, black or brown wool. Often the largest of the Vintage Moroccan rug styles, these versatile pieces are loved by interior designers and architects for their generous sizing and minimalist style. Often with thick high-pile and shag pile wool making them luxuriously soft and warm underfoot.

Boujad rugs: Known for their vibrant naturally plant and vegetable dyed colours palettes often in deep purples, reds and rich berry tones. Their unique designs featuring large central diamond and lozenge shapes and hand woven Berber symbology throughout. Can be found in extra long shapes great for large family dining tables. These pieces are ideal for bohemian style homes for an extra large feature rug to create a statement.

Beni MGuild Rugs: Characterised by their dense, thickly knotted pile and simple intricate geometric designs in deep rich colours and earthy tones. Often the widest of the vintage Moroccan rug styles, Beni MGuild rugs are ideal for 6 - 10 seat extra large dining tables and for placing in front of 3-4 seat couches and sofas.
